Declaration of Faith TM ®

1 Scripture

We believe that the Holy Scriptures, the books of the Old and New Testaments, are the infallible, inspired Word of God and as such the only source and standard of faith and the final authority in the life of the church.

II Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, II Peter 1:21

2 Triune God

We believe that there is only one true God, the eternal self-existent "I AM," the Creator of the universe and the Redeemer of mankind, who has revealed Himself to us as a Triune Being, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Deuteronomy 6:4, Exodus 3:14, Isaiah 43:10-11, Isaiah 48:16-17, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22, John 14:8-9, Acts 5:3-4, 1 John 5:7

3 The Godhead of the Father

We believe that:

He is known as the creator and sustainer of the universe in the Old Testament, but is revealed to us through Jesus as Father in the New Testament. He is a spirit who is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His person, and holy and righteous in His character.

John 4:24

He becomes Father to all who in faith receive Jesus Christ as their Savior, and experience a spiritual birth through the work of the Holy Spirit.

He was raised bodily and ascended into Heaven and is now making intercession for the saints.

Luke 24:1-7, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 20, and Hebrews 7:25.

He is coming for the church and will be involved in the judgment of this world with its works.

John 5:22, 1 Corinthians 15:51-58, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, and 2 Peter 3:7-15.

He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

John 1:1-5, 14, Colossians 2:6-10, Hebrews 1:1-13.

He left the glory of Heaven and made Himself without reputation, took the form of a servant, and was born of a virgin by the power of the Holy Spirit.

He came to seek and save the lost.

He lived as a humble servant, empowered by the Holy Spirit to do "signs and wonders."

Matthew 3:16, Luke 4:18, and Acts 10:38.

By His death He made the only way for man to be reconciled to God and receive the free gift of salvation.

Romans 5:10-12, 18, Acts 4:12, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Ephesians 1:7, and Colossians 1:14.

He was resurrected bodily and ascended into Heaven and now makes intercession for the saints.

The Godhead of the Holy Spirit

We believe that:

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, and He brings new life to every believer by working true repentance with saving faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.

John 3:5-8, 1 Corinthians 6:11, and 1 Corinthians 12:3.

The Holy Spirit indwells every born-again believer who begins to walk in obedience to Jesus as Lord.

Romans 8:9-11.

The Holy Spirit equips God's people to go out to all nations to testify of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 1:8, 17:22-31.

Jesus Christ has promised to baptize (empower, anoint, fill) every born-again Christian with the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit so that the Body of Christ on earth will be equipped to continue the supernatural ministry of Jesus.

Matthew 3:11, Luke 24:49, John 14:12, Acts 1:5,8, Acts 2:38-39, and 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.

We live in a time of restoration, when Jesus Christ has given ministry gifts to those led by the Holy Spirit to bring us into unity of faith with the rest of the Body of Christ.

Ephesians 4:11-13.

The Creation, Fall, and Salvation of Man

We believe that: Man was created good and upright in the image and likeness of God. The first man, Adam, fell from God's grace through disobedience, and because of this sin sin entered the world and through sin death. Adam's transgression brought not only physical death but also spiritual death. Because of Adam's sin and our personal choice, we are all sinners and eternally separated from God.

Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6-24, Romans 3:23, 5:12.

The only hope for mankind to be redeemed and saved from the power of sin is in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12, Romans 5:8-13, Ephesians 2:8.

God provides salvation as a free gift in Christ Jesus to all people, but only those who receive this gift of grace through faith are saved.

Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-10.

Salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit, who takes the Word of God and applies it to the heart of man, so that whoever confesses with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in his heart that God has raised Him from the dead, will be saved.

Romans 10:9-10.

Revelation of Christ and His Church

We accept the following:

A visible manifestation of the unity of the Body of Christ worldwide, who together with the Lord Jesus Christ, the great and good Shepherd who laid down His life for His sheep, form "one flock of sheep with one shepherd."

John 10:11,16, 17:20-23, Hebrews 13:20.

The need for every Christian to have a personal experience with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, in addition to having a scriptural knowledge of the doctrine of salvation.

John 3:3-8 and Acts 4:10-12.

The church is the Body of Christ, the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, every believer born of the Spirit is an integral part of the general assembly and Church of the firstborn who are all registered in Heaven.

The availability of a personal Pentecost for all Christians today, with the baptism in the Holy Spirit for believers expressed in the original sign of speaking in other tongues as inspired by the Holy Spirit. Along with Baptism comes an indwelling power of a life of service and witness. This experience is different and comes after the experience of the new birth.

Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8, 2:4, 8:12-17, 10:44-48, 19:1-6.
